Meet Kaitlin Le
"I write because it helps me understand life more deeply. Through travel, quiet moments, and everyday experiences, I often find myself reflecting on the meaning behind what we see and feel. Writing allows me to explore those thoughts and share the connection between the outer journey of travel and the inner journey of understanding life."
Kaitlin Le
Kaitlin Le was born in Ben Tre, a small town in South Vietnam, where she grew up riding her bicycle through the neighborhood, endlessly curious about the world beyond it. That curiosity never left her.
Her journey has taken her across Vietnam, Australia, and the United States — through the meditation trails of India, Myanmar, and Nepal, and eventually into the vast desert landscapes of the American Southwest, where she found something she hadn’t expected: herself.
She began writing as a way to process grief, family history, and the quiet work of becoming. Her first travel memoir, Go, Just Go, traces spiritual journeys through South and Southeast Asia. 21 Days in the Southwest is her first book set in the United States — born out of a period of illness, caregiving, and emotional exhaustion, and shaped by a 21-day solo road trip through New Mexico, Arizona, Utah, Nevada, and California.
Her work sits at the intersection of travel writing and inner journey, grounded and deeply personal. She writes for women who feel the pull of the open road. For anyone moving through grief or transition. For readers who believe that where you go and who you become are never really separate.
Kaitlin lives in Austin, Texas, where she cares for her mother, works as a nail technician, and is always planning the next road trip.
